<%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT" CODEPAGE="1252"%> Smoky Mountain Field School – Welcome

The partnership between Great Smoky Mountains National Park and The University of Tennessee's Smoky Mountain Field School celebrates its 30th year.

The Field School offers high-quality workshops, hikes, and adventures to more than 750 people each year who want to enhance their enjoyment, appreciation, and understanding of the Smokies and the great outdoors. The strength of these programs comes from the enthusiasm, knowledge, dedication, experience, and love of Great Smoky Mountains National Park that instructors bring to each and every course.

Expand your interest in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and really get to know it as the special place it is. For generations, the unspoiled mountains, cool, green forests, and clear, tumbling streams of the Smokies have been a haven for wildlife and an inspiration for mountaineers, backpackers, and casual visitors.

Join the Smoky Mountain Field School for a learning adventure in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You will learn new ways of seeing ... listening ... feeling ... and being ... in this amazing world we share. Your time with the Smoky Mountain Field School will be an enriching experience you will always treasure.
