Smoky Mountain Field School announces July course schedule

The Smoky Mountain Field School has a fun collection of courses set for July.

Courses are held in beautiful Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Intro to Search and Rescue Management (July 26, $49) is an educational course that provides an introduction to the management skills involved in conducting land search and rescue operations. It involves the use of the National Incident Command system used by most of the land managing agencies.

Other July courses include Edible & Poisonous Fungi of the Smokies (July 19, $49) and Mosses, Liverworts & Hornworts of the Smokies (July 26, $49).

The Smoky Mountain Field School, celebrating its 30th year, is an educational partnership of the University of Tennessee and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
