Paula Campbell
In 1980, with a major in painting and a minor in art history, Paula Campbell talked her way into a job as an illustrator and later graphic designer at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
She enjoyed several years employment at U of M until 1994 when she entered the graduate program in studio art at Eastern Michigan University.
Graphic design was to be her concentration and photography only a secondary area. She successfully switched emphasis and received her M.F.A. in Photography.
In her artwork she explores pinhole, B&W, color, and digital photography. Her photographs have been published in Camera Arts and Pinhole Journal and have traveled to exhibits from Kansas City to New York City.
Teaching in the non-credit photography certificate program and introducing students to contemporary art photography has been rewarding.
