University of Tennessee Photography Certificate
The University of Tennessee's non-credit Photography Certificate program provides fundamental and specialty skills for achieving success in the growing field of photography and related professions.
Explore your interest in photography as a hobby or for professional growth and development.
Developed by a committee of Knoxville-area photographers, these courses provide the opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing skills in this rapidly changing field.
A certificate is awarded upon completion of the following:
• Fundamentals of Photography I
• Fundamentals of Photography II
• Six additional courses offered from fall, winter, spring and summer selections
A minimum of 160 total hours is required. Students have three years to complete the certificate program.
A minimum of 75 percent attendance is required for all certificate candidates.
Note: Any student who has taken Fundamentals of Digital Photography I before Fall 2009 will not be required to follow the new requirements for certificate coursework. These students are required to take Fundamentals of Digital Photography I, five additional elective courses, and have at least 75 percent attendance.
