Human Resources Certificate
The University of Tennessee's non-credit Human Resources Certificate program is designed for persons in the HR field with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an HR generalist, payroll manager, or training coordinator.
The program focuses on current practices related to human resource management.
The HR certificate program helps you prepare for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certifications offered by the Human Resources Certification Institute.
The PRH exam requires two to four years of exempt-level HR experience, while the SPHR requires six years of exempt level.
A UT Human Resources Certificate is awarded upon completion of six courses taken from fall, winter, spring, or summer terms. Courses may be taken individually, but UT Professional & Personal Development will give priority to students enrolled in the full certificate program.
Remaining Fall 2009 courses:
Managing Absenteeism (Nov. 20; $99)
Instructor: Carolyn Clark
New! Workforce Reduction: Guidelines (Dec. 4; $109)
