Learning to Be a Chef: A Cooking Class Series by Chef Mark McKinney
UT Professional and Personal Development gives you the opportunity to have a hands-on professional cooking experience in an open and inviting forum.
Work in a state-of-the-art instructional kitchen under the instruction of executive chef Mark McKinney.
McKinney is senior executive chef at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Students will prepare all or portions of the food and will be able to taste what is cooked during the class sessions.
No skills are required. You must wear close-toed shoes and long pants and bring an apron to each class session.
The course fee includes all food materials that will be prepared in class.
All classes will be held at the UT Jessie Harris Building (instructional kitchen, room 18).
