Non-Credit Programs is excited about offering a new ACT preparation course for a week this July. This highly interactive course involves both a pretest and post test using actual retired ACT exams. Exams are graded and analyzed for each student. At the end of the course, one of the instructors meets with each student to review their individual assessment report and to design a study plan using the provided text book.
Materials and assessment services are provided by Cambridge Education Services, a premier provider of test preparation curriculum services. Class
size is limited to ensure time for individual assistance. The course review is customized for the class and uses classroom lessons, practice test questions, skill reviews and exercises, and includes English, reading, math and science. Students will take two full ACT simulation tests.
Students choose one four-hour period to take the pretest, spend four days in intensive review, take the post test and end the course with an individual appointment to discuss a study plan to prepare for the ACT.

Don't Bully Me!
Learn strategies for dealing with situations involving bullying and harassment. Taught by Martial Arts Hall of Famer Lance England, the course material is based on 33 years of Martial Arts experience and his observations and experiences in the world of education. His center on producing successful individuals with a positive attitude toward life and a strong sense of “Can Do!” Having a degree in exercise physiology, Lance believes that the individual is the sum of the parts. Each person not only needs the mental skills equivalent to the challenges that they face, but they also need the confidence that physical skills can provide. The goals for children are to enable them to become a successful, confident individual with a strong positive self-image. The goal is not to train aggressive fighters, but rather to help them become well rounded individuals who have the ability to take care of themselves. Instructor: Lance England.
