Creating UpCycled Jewelry & Accessories
(Grades 4-9, rising)
Create fun objects that you can wear. Projects include: earrings, pendants, hairpins, crocheting and hand embroidery. The majority of materials used to make these projects will be recycled, reclaimed or found. Each lesson will begin with sketching designs. Billy Bob Billy, a Two-Time World Champion of competition BBQ and BBQ cooking instructor at UT, can show you how to get started. He has been featured on The Food Network and BBQ Superstars. Over 1,500 people have completed his courses, and some have even gone on to win prizes at various contests. Along with his Sous Chef Liam Shope, a ten year old BBQ phenomenon, he’ll teach you about dry rubs, sauces, food prep for pulled pork, grilled vegetables and a grilled peach dessert. Got Talent? Beginning Acting & Theatre Games
This class is filled with a series of high energy, interactive theatre games using creative dance and vocal exercises along with improvisational games, all used to create a very special piece of original performance art. Acting experience is helpful but not required. We’ll use the Growtowski and Stanislovsky methods as well as Viola Spolin’s Theatre Games for the Classroom. Instructor: Ajeet Khalsa holds a masters in performing arts in education from Columbia Teachers College and a bachelors in sociology with a year abroad at Oxford.

Work on a video of your own and learn to function as part of a cast and crew as we learn about scripts and storyboarding. Also learn about experimental, documentary and narrative forms of art video.
