Design a Web Page!
(Grades 8-12, rising)
Must be at least 13 years of age before you can activate a Google account.
This camp teaches you how to create a multiple-page web site using free online Google applications. After exploring the basics of web page construction through HTML, you’ll continue with Google Sites to create your own web site. You’ll also learn about powerful Google Apps that will allow you to embed surveys, blogs, photos and calendars into your web site. Best of all, since Google Sites is a free, online application, you may maintain and update your site long after you complete this camp! Safe Internet practices and Google Sites privacy restrictions will also be discussed. Please bring digital photos of your favorite things (such as your friends and pets) with you to class so that your web page will be a showcase featuring YOU as the star! You must have an active e-mail account to access Google Apps. Instruction on obtaining a free G-mail e-mail account will be provided if needed. Please bring a 1 gig USB drive to class with you.
