Peter Morris, a Principal with Davis Langdon, has 30 years of experience in construction economics, cost planning and management, with expertise in building surveying, construction cost planning and estimating, auditing, scheduling and life-cycle costing.
Peter has extensive experience in construction cost and sustainability research, and has authored papers on escalation, construction risk analysis, life cycle costing and sustainable design. He is currently working with the research committee of the U.S. Green Building Council to develop a national green building research agenda.
As head of Davis Langdon’s research initiative, Peter is currently leading a project to compile a database of sustainable design costs from the thousands of projects that Davis Langdon has done nationally and abroad.
Peter has also spoken at several major conferences on the topics of escalation, benchmarking, cost planning, and the cost of sustainable design. He is also an active participant in the Green Buildings Finance Consortium, working to develop financial modeling tools to improve financial decision making for green buildings.
