Green Development: Good for Water and the Bottom Line


 

Pamla Wood

Pamla Wood worked 25 years in governmental management of natural resources before retiring to pursue other interests, which include continued natural resources work and performance dance. 

She provides assistance and expertise based on her experience in natural resource management, organizational development, and maximizing group effectiveness with skilled facilitation.

Pamla has worked for the Soil Conservation Service (now NRCS), the Kentucky Rivers Coalition (now the Kentucky Resources Council), the Kentucky Division of Water, and the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet (now EPPC). She has served as a Soil Scientist and cartographer and an agency Ombudsman. 

She designed and managed the first Water Supply Planning program, oversaw Drought Preparedness and Response during the droughts of the late 1980s, supervised the Water Withdrawal Permitting program, and provided leadership to the Watershed Management initiative.
