Margo Farnsworth

Currently Senior Fellow for the Cumberland River Compact and Executive Director for the past seven years, Margo Farnsworth has also worked as a Naturalist, Science Teacher from Middle School to University levels, Mammalogist and Park Ranger. 

With a Master's in Science Education and Undergraduate degree in Parks Administration, her professional accomplishments include research in the areas of environmental education, qualitative mammal studies for the states of Missouri and Tennessee, and service on numerous local and state environmental boards and committees for water resources and wildlife. 

Recognition of her work has come from various disciplines including the Tennessee Recreation & Parks Association State Resource Management Award of Excellence, the Tennessee American Fisheries “Friend of Fisheries” award and the Freeman Tilden Award for Outstanding Interpretation.
