Lisa is currently the Senior Planner at Louisville Metro Parks in Kentucky.
She oversees Louisville’s City of Parks Initiative for the Parks Department which includes planning and identifying funding for the proposed100-mile Loop multi-use trail around the city which will help connect parks, schools, neighborhoods and Olmsted Parkways. The Initiative includes planning and design of several park and greenway projects in the Beargrass Creek, Pond Creek, Mill Creek and Floyds Fork watersheds.
City of Parks activities include preparation of park master plans, natural resource management plans, identification of public and private funding as well as land acquisition and design development for new parks and greenways.
Lisa has worked for local government in Louisville since 1994 in a variety of planning jobs including overseeing the development of the Louisville and Jefferson County’s new comprehensive plan – Cornerstone 2020, revising the new Land Development Code, directing the Louisville/Jefferson County Environmental Trust, and preparing neighborhood and small-area plans.
Before returning to Louisville in 1994, Lisa worked for several nonprofit conservation organizations and state and local resource agencies in Maryland including the City of Baltimore Department of Recreation and Parks where she was the project manager for the Gwynns Falls Greenway.
