About the Conference:
You are invited to participate in the 2009 Singleton B. Wolfe Memorial Tax Conference on October 29-30, 2009, at the University of Tennessee.
The objective of the conference is to update participants on federal and state tax laws and present instruction in related tax domains. Participants may earn up to 16.0 CPEs.
The conference is co-sponsored by the University’s College of Business Administration and Division of Outreach and Continuing Education.
This conference is named for the UT professor who spearheaded the past Federal Tax Conferences held by the University. Singleton B. Wolfe began his professorship at UT on Jan. 1, 1981, after serving as assistant commissioner of Internal Revenue Service, where he worked for 34 years. A Distinguished Lecturer Emeritus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Wolfe continued to assist UT in its response to its continuing education mission by serving as the chair for the Federal Tax Advisory Board until his death on Nov. 11, 1999.
For his diligence and leadership, the University of Tennessee and the Federal Tax Conference Advisory Board have decreed that henceforth this conference will be called The Singleton B. Wolfe Memorial Federal Tax Conference.
Program Learning Objectives:
The objective of this course is to provide the learner exposure to changes in taxation regulations and policies. This course has an advanced curricula designed for taxation professionals.
Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites to this course.
Registration Fee:
Early registration is $245 per person through October 16. The registration fee is $265 per person beginning Oct. 17. The registration fee includes program materials, lunch and breaks, and parking in the Locust Street garage or the Hilton Hotel garage (only). There will be an additional charge for all continuing education units.

Continuing
Education Units
16.0 Continuing Professional Units (CPEs) will be available to participants who complete the entire program requirements and pay a fee of $15. Continuing Legal Education and Specialization Units (CLEs) have been applied for and, if approved, will be available for a fee of $28. All continuing education forms will be available at the registration desk during the seminar.

Cancellation
Policy
Your registration fee minus a $25 processing fee will be refunded if it becomes necessary for you to cancel your registration before October 16, 2009. From October 17-28, 2009, the refund will be pro-rated to cover guarantees. There will be no refunds on or after October 29, 2009. However, substitutions are welcome at any time. program sessions will take place at the
UT Conference Center, located at 600
Henley Street on the fourth floor and
situated directly across the street from
the Knoxville Hilton and the Holiday
Inn Select. As the temperature in each
room varies, it is advisable to bring
a sweater to ensure your comfort during

While parking is available all around the UT Conference Center, free parking is available only in the Locust Street garage, provided space is available. Your parking ticket will be validated at the registration table.
