TeleClassroom Audio Production

AUDIO

Most of the problems and mistakes that occur in the teleclassroom are audio in nature. This is because the microphones and amplifiers must continually be potted up and down.

There are four main audio sources and the master control knob. Knob 1 is the lavalier, or wired, mic. Knob 2 is the wireless mic -- and the one most often used by instructors. Knob 3 is Bi-Amp A or B which is the control for the volume of the student mics. Knob 4 controls the level of the VCR volume. Remember, the master volume must be turned up for ANY audio to be heard.

There are also volume controls for the on-site classrooms. These are located on the black panel by the door of the Control Room and involve the volume of the codec into the Knoxville classrooms.

Lastly, the speakers in the Control Room used by the producer to monitor a class are controled by a knob located under the VCR.
